Direct messaging

The messaging function allows you to connect more personally with other members of the Rehabilitation Community. This means you can continue discussing specific topics that may not be relevant to an entire group, or reach out to members with similar backgrounds, views and / or professional aspirations.

Direct messaging to one or more members

There are several ways that you can access the messaging function:

  1. Click on your profile name in the top right hand corner of the page to reveal a drop down menu. Select ‘Messages’.
  1. Click on the message icon in the top right hand corner of the screen, or
  2. Click on the messaging shortcut on the vertical shortcuts menu on the left hand side of the page.

Any of these three actions will open a page displaying your messages “inbox” on the left hand side, and an open field for reading messages, or typing new messages on the right.

Select the new message icon to start a new conversation with a fellow community member. You can also send a group message by adding more than one member to the names field. Once you have typed your message, click ‘Send’. You can review and keep track of your messages via the inbox on the left hand side.

Direct message a member

You can message another member directly when viewing their profile page.

To open the messaging function, click on the “Send Message” shortcut button below the members profile summary on the members page.

You can also send direct messages via the “Send Message” menu on the members profile page.
